Holiday Tips
It only takes an extra 500 calories per day or 3500 per week to gain a pound. Since most people eat between 2000-3000 calories at Thanksgiving alone; it’s easy to see how extra weight can occur. To help curb the weight gain, moderation and exercise are key. Exercise doesn’t have to be difficult. Walking is a great activity that doesn't require expensive equipment or a gym membership. A general goal is to work up to 30 minutes per day on most days of the week. And really, there’s no reason to wait until January 1st to work on your weight loss goals.
